GRAND MASSIF, in the French Alps 

1/24/27 - 1/31/27

at CLUB MED Grand Massif, ski in/out

HUGE SKI AREA, JUST A LITTLE BIT OVER ONE HOUR FROM GENEVA AIRPORT

This price includes EVERYTHING, but the flights.  It includes your transfers (if traveling with the group), your meals, drinks, activities, entertainment, skipass, AND the guides!

The current price for the United nonstop flights between EWR and Geneva is $947 in Basic Economy and $1147 in regular Economy (1/23-31) 

 

I picked this week because it's the last week before the school holidays start in France and Switzerland, and I picked Grand Massif, because it usually has plenty of snow in January, is a vast ski area, and only a little bit over one hour from Geneva Airport.

ZERMATT, Switzerland (on IKON pass)

staying at the HOTEL ALEX, right in the heart of the village

BY MANY CONSIDERED THE PRETTIEST ALPINE VILLAGE ANYWHERE WITH INCREDIBLY VAST SKING IN SWITZERLAND AND ITALY

  • and for anybody that wants to splurge, they also set aside some suites for us ...

This price includes your airport transfers from Geneva and returning to Zurich (if traveling with the group), along with a daily buffet breakfast and <u>5 gourmet dinners!</u>  Also included are the spa and pool facilities, which this hotel is known for!

My wife Wendy will come on this trip, as this is a perfect village for anybody who is also interested in spas, shopping, dog sledding, hiking, and so much more!!!!  And the mountain top restaurants are accessible for non-skiers as well! 

ALYESKA, Alaska (on IKON pass)

4/3/27-4/10/27

 

at Alyeska Resort, right at the base of the tram

  • $1435 pp (based on double occupancy)
  • $145 more per night for single occupancy

 

This price includes and awesome breakfast, the 12.5% taxes and resort fee of $25/night per person . 

I am still waiting for a quote for the roundtrip transfers, but it will be less than $100 per person. 

It's unique experience, as you will be able to ski at a very low altitude of 250 to 3939 feet, and the lifts open late in the morning, but won't close until 6 or 7pm.

Alyeska is not a huge resort, but gets over 600 inches of snow every year (that's over 50 feet!), and also offers 1 day helicopter and snowcat skiing.

Alyeska is only 45 minutes from Anchorage, so there is the option to take a large variety of different tours and do some sightseeing, for anybody who doesn't want to ski every day.

We won't be able to book the flights for another month or so.  IF interested, please send me an email, and I will keep you posted. 

I am also considering a getaway in February, but I am still collecting quotes from Telluride, Whitefish, Powder Mountain, Mt. Baker and Sun Valley, but haven't found anything yet, I am completely happy with. 

 

I might just decide to offer something on short notice .....based on snow conditions, etc.
